About Cochem
Cochem is the most-photographed town on the Moselle, with the Reichsburg castle perched on its conical rock above a tightly packed cluster of half-timbered Altstadt houses. The town's Riesling vineyards rise almost vertically behind the castle on the Bremmer Calmont, the steepest vineyard in Europe. Most cruise calls combine a chairlift ride up to the Pinnerkreuz cross for the panoramic view with a Moselle Riesling tasting in one of the Weinstuben on the market square.
