About A-ROSA River Cruises

A-ROSA is the largest German-language river cruise operator. Its lime-and-charcoal liveried ships sail the Rhine, Danube, Main, Moselle, Rhône-Saône, Seine and Douro with a casual, family-friendly product. The newer E-Motion and Sena classes are battery-hybrid vessels designed for emission-free port stays.

Today the line operates a fleet of 13 ships ranging from 124 to 280 guests. The newest vessel in service entered the fleet in 2024, while the oldest still sailing under the brand was launched in 2002.

The brand currently sails 6 distinct waterways. Each river demands a slightly different vessel — Rhine and Danube longships are typically 7 ships at roughly 135 metres in length, while the line's Douro, Loire, Mekong and Nile vessels are purpose-built for shallower waters and tighter lock chambers.
