About AmaWaterways

AmaWaterways operates a young, design-forward fleet across Europe, the Mekong, the Nile and the Chobe. The line is known for twin-balcony staterooms (a French balcony plus a step-out balcony in the same cabin), the chef-driven Chef's Table specialty restaurant and a complimentary bicycle program for guided cycling excursions.

Today the line operates a fleet of 24 ships ranging from 72 to 196 guests. The newest vessel in service entered the fleet in 2024, while the oldest still sailing under the brand was launched in 2008.

The brand currently sails 7 distinct waterways. Each river demands a slightly different vessel — Rhine and Danube longships are typically 16 ships at roughly 135 metres in length, while the line's Douro, Loire, Mekong and Nile vessels are purpose-built for shallower waters and tighter lock chambers.
