About Grand Circle Cruise Line

Grand Circle and its sister brand Overseas Adventure Travel run a fleet of seven 46-cabin "River Concertos" purpose-built for the European waterways. The intimate scale (about 92 guests vs the 190-passenger competitors) and inclusive Discovery Series of cultural programs are central to the brand.

Today the line operates a fleet of 7 ships ranging from 86 to 90 guests. The newest vessel in service entered the fleet in 2009, while the oldest still sailing under the brand was launched in 1999.

The brand currently sails 2 distinct waterways. Each river demands a slightly different vessel — Rhine and Danube longships are typically 0 ships at roughly 135 metres in length, while the line's Douro, Loire, Mekong and Nile vessels are purpose-built for shallower waters and tighter lock chambers.
