About Riviera Travel

Riviera Travel is the largest UK-based river cruise operator. Its fleet of literary-named vessels — Lord Byron, Robert Burns, William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and others — is known for guaranteed solo cabins (with no single supplement) on every sailing, included gratuities, and itinerary lengths from five to fifteen nights.

Today the line operates a fleet of 13 ships ranging from 128 to 142 guests. The newest vessel in service entered the fleet in 2019, while the oldest still sailing under the brand was launched in 2012.

The brand currently sails 4 distinct waterways. Each river demands a slightly different vessel — Rhine and Danube longships are typically 0 ships at roughly 135 metres in length, while the line's Douro, Loire, Mekong and Nile vessels are purpose-built for shallower waters and tighter lock chambers.
