About Hannibal
Hannibal, Missouri is the Mississippi-bluff town in which Mark Twain spent his childhood and which became the model for the Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn novels. The Twain Boyhood Home and Museum complex includes the whitewashed fence, the Becky Thatcher house and the Huckleberry Finn house. The Mark Twain Cave on the southern edge of town is the cave in which Tom and Becky famously got lost. Most cruise calls combine the Twain sites with a riverfront walk and a lunch stop at one of the period restaurants.
