About Dubuque
Dubuque, Iowa is the oldest city in Iowa and the most northerly of the standard upper-Mississippi cruise calls. The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium on the riverfront — operated by the Smithsonian — gives the natural and industrial history of the river. The Fenelon Place Elevator, a 90-metre cable funicular built in 1882, climbs the bluff above the town for a tri-state panoramic view of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Cruise vessels moor at the Ice Harbor terminal a short walk from both attractions.
